Xanthomonas citri pv. fuscans (Xcf) and Xanthomonas phaseoli pv. phaseoli (Xpp) are the causative agents of common bacterial crown gall (CBC) in beans, resulting in significant yield losses (CHEN et al. , 2021). Xcf is the more severe species and can cause losses of up to 45%, especially under rainy conditions (SCHAAD et al. 2006; ALAVI et al. 2008; TORRES et al. , 2009; SILVA et al. , 2020).
