According to the "Treatise on Literature" in the History of the Song Dynasty, Wang Yinglin authored many educational works for children, such as Elementary Recitation, Enlightenment Lessons, Elementary String of Beads, and Urgent Topics on Surnames. Since its creation at the end of the Song Dynasty and the beginning of the Yuan Dynasty, The Three-Character Classic has been passed down for more than 700 years. It is the most influential among traditional Chinese enlightenment textbooks and has been highly esteemed by scholars throughout the ages. 中华文化源远流长、博大精深，国学经典更是堪称"母乳"。学习中华文化，诵读国学经典，继承中华民族的光荣传统，是我们中国人的立命之本，更是儿童健康成长的重要内容。 《三字经》世传为南宋著名学者王应麟所著。王应麟，字伯厚，号深宁居》。为当时士。先世居俊仪(今河南开封市)，后迁居庆元(路治今浙江宁波)的大学问家，又是杰出的儿童启蒙教育家。据《宋史-艺文志》记载，王应麟著有很多蒙学读物，如《小学讽咏》《蒙训》《小学绀珠》《姓氏急就篇》等。《三字经》自宋末元初诞生以来，流传至今已有七百余年历史，在中国传统蒙学教材中最有影响，为历代学者所推重。
