Das umfassende Corpus aller weltweit greifbaren byzantinischen metrischen Siegellegenden (ca. 4. 500) war auf drei Bände angelegt; die beiden ersten erschienen 2011 und 2016, der dritte liegt nun vor. Ein weiterer vierter Band mit Addenda ist in Arbeit. Diese Klein-Epigramme sind teilweise ästhetisch anspruchsvoll und darüber hinaus auch philologisch von Interesse. Der Kommentar erschließt diese Siegel - soweit möglich - auch als wichtige Quelle für die Prosopographie, Sozial- und Verwaltungsgeschichte, historische Geographie und Kunstgeschichte. Dieser Band enthält bisher unpubliziertes Material sowie Verbesserungsvorschläge für bereits publizierte Siegel. Englisch. The extensive corpus of all available legends of Byzantine metrical seals (approx. 4,500) was planned to be published in three volumes; the first two were published in 2011 and 2016, and the third is now available. A fourth volume with addenda is in the works. These miniature epigrams are sometimes aesthetically ambitious and also of philological interest. The commentary makes these seals accessible as an important source for prosopography, social and administrative history, historical geography and art history.
