Culture and Occupation

Practitioners, educators, researchers, and students across all OT practice areas must recognise the need to be social agents for change and to educate about sociopolitical structures that maintain inequities and disparities in health and occupation. Only by becoming culturally competent can occupational therapy professionals effectively interact with all clients and their families and gain the necessary information to act on their needs.
