'The Retrial on the Basis of New Evidence in Criminal Proceedings': The thesis is dedicated to the legal institution of reopening criminal proceedings in the event of new facts or evidence following a final judgement. Surveys of judges are conducted on how this is handled in practice and the available data is evaluated. With regard to the two directions of retrial in favour and against a defendant, the differences in the constitutional assessment are explained.
