Down to the Seas Again

The end of the Second World War released a pent-up desire among many to once more ply the seas independently under sail, still long before the prevalence of radio and electronic navigational aids. Some of the voyages described and illustrated were full of drama, others were simply (or perhaps not so simply) supremely competent feats of seamanship.
