Federal Law on Labour in Industry, Trade and Commerce

Stämpfli will shortly be publishing, in booklet form, an English translation of the Swiss Federal Law on Labour in Industry, Trade and Commerce incorporating the latest amendments which came into force at the beginning of 2005. This Federal Act, which sets down the rules governing such matters as maximum working hours, night and Sunday working, overtime compensation and the conditions of employment during maternity, is the core element in Swiss labour legislation. Translated in collaboration with a Swiss expert on labour law, it will be a valuable aid to organisations such as multilateral firms that envisage establishing themselves in Switzerland.
