(1930-2019) was a German-born photographer who settled in Vancouver in 1953. He began working as a medical photographer and later taught at Canadian universities. He gained international recognition for his richly colored street photographs, documenting urban life in North America. His work has been exhibited worldwide - including in Berlin, Paris, New York, and Toronto. Fred Herzog (1930-2019), who grew up in Stuttgart, Germany, immigrated to Vancover, Canada, in 1953, where he initially worked as a medical photographer. He later taught at the University of British Columbia and Simon Fraser University. He has had major solo exhibitions in Berlin, New York, Paris, Toronto, and Vancover.
