From Midwife to Pilot. What does it take to leave behind a successful career and start all over again. This is the true story of Simone Roeder, who spent years working as a midwife and helping bring more than 3,000 babies into the world before making one of the boldest decisions of her life: pursuing her lifelong dream of becoming a professional pilot. At an age when many people settle comfortably into their careers, Simone chose a completely different path. She left behind everything she knew and entered a world filled with demanding flight training, examinations, setbacks, uncertainty, and unforgettable experiences. Her determination eventually led her from the delivery room to the cockpit of business jets flying around the world. This memoir is not only about aviation. It is about courage, resilience, perseverance, and believing in yourself even when others doubt you. It is about taking risks, embracing change, and discovering that life can still surprise you when you dare to leave your comfort zone. Along the way, readers will experience humorous moments, emotional challenges, unexpected obstacles, and fascinating insights into both the medical profession and the world of professional aviation. Simone shares her journey with honesty, warmth, and self-deprecating humour, making readers feel as though they are sitting beside her every step of the way. Whether you dream of becoming a pilot, are considering a major career change, or simply enjoy authentic life stories, this book offers an inspiring reminder that it is never too late to reinvent yourself. Inside this book you'll discover:. - The remarkable journey from midwife to professional pilot. - Honest stories about fear, failure, determination, and success. - Behind-the-scenes insights into flight training and professional aviation. - Humorous and unforgettable moments from an extraordinary career change. - Inspiration for anyone who has ever wondered, "What if I followed my dream.
