The lgbtqi community has in the last few thousand years sat on the sidelines under the eyes of modern religions. The three main religions have spread hatred, fear and bigotry within their flocks, which has resulted in how we are shown as characters in books, movies and social media. For the most part, society acknowledged and, in many cases, revered the lgbtqi community through priesthood and shamanism.
