When armour-bearing is mutual-carrying marks of loyalty and covenantal defence on both sides-our relationships fulfil God's intentions for the Body of Christ. But when one partner opts out of mutuality, a counterfeit covenant can arise-where submission becomes subjugation, not uplift. We can be drawn so gradually into the counterfeit covenant we don't even realise it's operational. Instead of armour-bearing, we've fallen into toxic enabling.
