Beschreibung
'Completely hysterical, deeply shocking and impossibly compulsive. It will blow your mind'. Total Film. Welcome to the world of Don Simpson: one of Hollywood's most successful and excessive producers. For over two decades, Don Simpson and his partner Jerry Bruckheimer produced some of Hollywood's most successful films: Flashdance. , Beverly Hills Cop. , Top Gun. , The Rock. , Dangerous Minds. But while his unparalleled vision was driving the Hollywood bottom line, Simpson's lifestyle reflected the dark side of the industry. Drugs, money, sex: excess was king, and no one was better at it than Don. As long as he continued producing box-office gold, every desire was conspicuously indulged - an unrestrained excess that killed him, and sent a warning cry throughout the industry. High Concept. takes readers on a riveting journey inside the Hollywood of the 1980s and 90s, charting the dramatic tale of the rise of the key players and how the Don Simpson way became the Hollywood way.
