"Make it do," his mother said. And somehow, he always did. What if you were flying into war. with barely three weeks of training. What if your first dogfight. ended with your guns still on safety. What if a single wrong turn landed you in a prison camp halfway across Europe, unsure if you'd ever see home again. This is the extraordinary true story of Ken Cam. , a young RAF Spitfire pilot hurled into the chaos of World War II far from ready-but never backing down. From that uncertain beginning, Make It Do. follows Ken's astonishing wartime journey:. ✅ Flying solo combat missions over France and North Africa. ✅ Crash-landing on the remote island of Linosa. ✅ Captured and transported by submarine. to mainland Europe. ✅ Imprisoned in the same POW camp later made famous by The Great Escape. ✅ Surviving the brutal Death March of 1945. , walking for days through deep snow. ✅ Finally seeing the British flag again-starved, freezing, and alive.. Through it all, one phrase guided him: the quiet, stoic wartime mantra passed down by his mother-. "Make it do. ". Make It Do. isn't just a war memoir. It's a never-before-published true story. , written more than 25 years ago by Ken himself-and only now released to the public for the very first time.
