Volume 1 of Reviews in Mineralogy introduces to the mineralogy of sulfides. It covers the Determination, Relationships, and Classification of Sulfide Mineral Structures, Sulfide Crystal Chemistry, Electron Interactions and Chemical Bonding in Sulfides, Experimental Methods in Sulfide Synthesis, Sulfide Phase Equilibriaand Sulfide Petrology. The Short Course on Sulfide Mineralogy was given November 15-17, 1974, preceding the annual meetings of the affiliated societies of the Geological Society of America, at the Sheraton Four Ambassadors Hotel in Miami, Florida, USA with eighty persons in attendance.
