Both girls had to avoid that death at all costs. Their paths would separate under totally different situations in avoiding the guillotine. They then both had to be united with the men they loved. With their personal struggles and triumphs they had to also navigate their way through the French Revolution back to the safety of the shores of England. Would both girls eventually avoid death by the guillotine. Would either of them end up with the man they loved. This is a story of adventure, of miraculous circumstances, of avoiding death by the guillotine and of people seeking love. It's a story about a common piano teacher and her pupil and best friend Emily. It's a story of love however both girls would have to kill to survive. Adeline, a French prostitute was the key to that survival. Adeline would also have to kill to survive. Amongst the killings would love triumph.
