1944, in remote Idaho, Meiko Briggs and her daughter are sent to an internmentcamp. It doesn't matter that Aiko is American-born: They are Japanese, andtherefore a threat to the American government. They cling to elements of their ownlife, as a mysterious disease spreads through the camp causing paranoia, violence,and death. When a team of secretive doctors arrive, they must team up with anewspaper reporter and widowed missionary to uncover the truth. Inspired by theJapanese yokai and the jorogumo spider demon, witness the danger ofdemonization and xenophobia.
