Twenty years ago, a catastrophic midnight subway derailment vanished into sealed records, missing bodies, and unanswered questions. Monty Wymore has spent his life haunted by fragments of a tragedy he cannot remember. Everything changes when he boards a mysterious train that appears only at midnight. The train is filled with restless passengers who do not realize they are dead. Guided by a silent conductor, Monty discovers that the train does not travel through tunnels beneath the city-it moves through unresolved moments of death, carrying souls trapped between worlds. As Monty investigates the truth behind the forgotten disaster, he uncovers buried rail systems, secret occult experiments, and a hidden Fourth Stop feared even by the dead. Alongside Evelyn, a woman searching for her missing son, Monty confronts memory-devouring entities known as the Hollow Passengers, creatures that feed on regret and erase souls from existence. As reality begins collapsing and the barrier between life and death weakens, Monty learns a devastating truth: he survived the original derailment as a child. His father died saving him that night and has remained aboard the cursed train ever since, protecting lost souls from the darkness beneath the tunnels. To end the cycle, Monty must relive the disaster, face the ancient force awakened beneath the city, and destroy the supernatural engine driving the endless loop of death. But even after the train is destroyed and dawn returns, some mysteries refuse to stay buried. Because somewhere beneath the city, forgotten tracks still wait in darkness. And the train always comes back.
