The Hundred Wells of Salaga

This title will appeal to readers who enjoyed Yaa Gyasi's 'Homegoing', although The Hundred Wells of Salaga focuses on the intra-African rather than the transatlantic slave trade. The story is inspired by the experiences of the author's great-great-grandmother, who was sold as a slave in the (in)famous Salaga market, in present-day Ghana.
