Beschreibung
A thoughtful and inspiring exploration of the true self. This book gently guides the reader toward deeper awareness, inner peace, and a more authentic way of living. Dr. Aaron Ameri, Professor UT Arlington. Reminiscent of Hesse's concept of man as an onion, Dr. Ghassemi skillfully peels back the physical layers of sacred texts spanning Time and Space to reveal the metaphysical reality of the human Ego, Atman, Psyche, or Soul in order that we might better know our true Self, and thereby live our truest lives. Dr. Robert Fulton, Professor of Humanities. The I and Infinite Existence is a profound exploration of one of humanity's oldest questions: who am I, truly. Drawing from philosophy, mysticism, psychology, and neuroscience, Dr. Ghassemi traces the evolution of self-understanding from ancient Persia and Greece through the Sufi tradition and modern science, bridging East and West with remarkable sensitivity. The book weaves rigorous scholarship with poetic insight, examining how Zoroaster, Suhrawardi, and Rumi envisioned the "I" as a reflection of infinite existence, while contrasting these perspectives with the rationalism of Descartes, Locke, and Kant. Rather than dismissing modern philosophy, Dr. Ghassemi reveals its limits as stepping stones toward a more complete understanding that integrates intellect with inner awareness. Even from a secular perspective, the message resonates: identity, knowledge, and meaning are living experiences rooted in consciousness itself. The I and Infinite Existence becomes both an intellectual journey and a meditative reflection, guiding readers to rediscover the wholeness beyond the noise of modern life. Inspiring and beautifully written, it honors the human search for truth across time and culture. Dr. Pejman Rahimian, HCLD/CC (ABB), MLS(ASCP) Most people live within invisible walls built by fear, memory, and belief - mistaking these limits for the self. The I invites you beyond them. Blending philosophy, science, and Sufi wisdom, Dr. Roham Ghassemi guides a return to the timeless awareness beneath identity. Through voices from Zoroaster to Rumi, Descartes to Jung, this journey reveals that the "I" you seek was never lost. It is the silent presence that has always been watching, waiting, and remembering itself.
