Mabel's travel chronicles cover her travels with her husband, the archaeologist and explorer J. Theodore Bent, from 1883 to his death in 1897. This first volume covers Greece and Turkey (the Cyclades, Dodecanese, Thrace, western Turkey); the second will cover Egypt and Africa; the third Arabia and the Middle East. These travel diaries are unpublished and of significant interest to those who are already aware of the writings and discoveries of her celebrity husband, J. Theodore Bent.
