This book is the companion volume to the author's previous work, Three Hundred Years of Tang Poetry. It features a selection of thirty Song dynasty ci poems - with the exception of Su Shi, Li Qingzhao, and Xin Qiji, each represented by two pieces, while all other poets are represented by a single work - arranged in chronological order. Drawing on extensive textual research and careful comparison of different critical interpretations, the author examines the meaning of the poems, observes the shifting fortunes of the era, and illuminates the creative intentions behind each piece. Through accessible yet insightful readings, the book reveals the artistry, linguistic elegance, and emotional depth of Song ci poetry, while also attending to the poets' life stories and the broader historical transformations of their times. In doing so, it captures both the individual creative inclinations of the poets and the evolution of Song ci over more than three hundred years - in terms of subject matter, form, and function - and situates these developments within the wider context of Chinese social history and literary thought. Through thirty carefully chosen poems, the book offers a panoramic view of the entire Song dynasty. 本书是作者前著《唐诗三百年》的姊妹篇。全书精选宋词30首，除苏轼、李清照、辛弃疾每人两首外，其余词人一人选词一首，以时间为序排列。作者博考经籍、比较群言以裁量词意、观察世运、烛照文心，深入浅出地解读宋词的创作之妙、文辞之美、诗情之深，兼及作者的生平与时代的变迁，既体现出词人的创作倾向，又展现出两宋时期三百余年词在题材、体式、功用等方面的变化，进而展现出这一时期中国社会历史和文学思想的总体背景，以三十首词照见有宋三百年。 Huang Tianji, a renowned scholar of classical Chinese literature, was born in Guangzhou in 1935. He is a professor in the Department of Chinese Language and Literature at Sun Yat-sen University, and concurrently serves as President of the Ancient Chinese Drama Society and a member of the National Ancient Book Collation and Publication Planning Group. He previously served as Chairman of the Department of Chinese Language and Literature at Sun Yat-sen University, Executive Vice Dean of the Graduate School, and a member of the Second Subject Review Group of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council. Professor Huang Tianji is a distinguished educator, having mentored generations of students, and has been honored as a National Teaching Master. His publications include the fifteen-volume Collected Works of Huang Tianji as well as Friends and Mentors in Lingnan (a collection of essays), among others. 黄天骥，著名古典文学专家，1935年出生于广州。中山大学中文系教授，兼任中国古代戏曲学会会长、国家古籍整理出版规划小组成员，曾任中山大学中文系主任、研究生院常务副院长、国务院学位委员会第二届学科评议组成员。黄天骥教授治学育人，桃李满天下，为国家级教学名师。出版有《黄天骥文集》十五卷及《岭南师友》等。
