Beschreibung
In Mexico City of the mid-1970s, the infrarealist movement spearheaded by Roberto Bolaño and Mario Santiago Papasquiaro developed artistic practices focused on everyday life, marginalised experiences, and political dissent in a bid to set itself apart from a literary field dominated by future Nobel Prize laureate Octavio Paz. Entwining poetry and interviews conducted by Palmireno Moreira Neto with Rubén Medina, Claudia Kerik, and José Peguero, the bilingual volume Tiempo Infra / Infra-Zeit introduces three prominent voices of the Mexican neo-avant-garde to a German-speaking audience and casts fresh light on the mobilisation of poetry as a form of social and aesthetic intervention. con·stel·la·tions publiziert kollaborative Wissenszusammenhänge, die an der Schnittstelle von künstlerischer und akademischer Praxis entstanden sind. Die Formate bewegen sich an den Grenzen oder jenseits klassischer geisteswissenschaftlicher Publikationsformen. con·stel·la·tions showcases the results of collaborative research at the intersection of artistic and academic practice in blended formats and explorations that go beyond canonical forms of academic publishing within the humanities. The series is a project of the eponymous hub for networked and transdisciplinary work conceived within the framework of the Cluster of Excellence 2020 Temporal Communities: Doing Literature in a Global Perspective at Freie Universität Berlin. Entering into close dialogue with cultural institutions such as museums, theatres, archives and libraries, the CONSTELLATIONS hub conjoins methods and perspectives from scholarship, the arts and knowledge formations beyond the university.
