Tom Waits by Matt Mahurin

This visually arresting book is the result of a unique collaboration between the photographer and illustrator Matt Mahurin and the cult musician Tom Waits. The two have worked hand in hand over many years creating an extended series of portraits that are fantastical, dreamlike, poetic, and occasionally dark-in short. The images vary greatly-some are straight-ahead portraits, others capture Waits in performance, but the majority are richly imagined scenes in which Waits is more actor than subject.
