Beside the blue sea, where the salt water sprayed, Elizabeth crouched with her bucket and spade. Digging beneath her in search of lost treasure, she hit something solid and cried out with pleasure. It was smooth, hard and round, and felt cool in her hand. What could it be, this thing under the sand.
