You Can't Play the Game if You Don't Know the Rules

Have you ever tried to explain the rules of football to someone from another culture. Or to a girlfriend who doesn't understand sport. Now imagine trying to explain if both teams were wearing the same colours - or every one wore different ones. Or if they all wore blindfolds - how can you explain that. To complicate it further add twenty women to the picture, playing a different game with totally different rules. Or is it the same game with different goals. You don't know. Of course the women will pair up with the men and then run off the field to play a different game entirely. But how does that fit into the overall picture. This book is a small attempt at explaining some of the basic rules of open, effective, and fulfilling romantic relationships. We're all in there running for the goal. We might play better if we had more of an idea how the game works.
