Autor/-in: Hesiod Hesiod
Hesiod (fl. c. 700 BCE) was one of the earliest Greek poets whose works survive from antiquity. Believed to have lived in Boeotia in central Greece, he is traditionally credited with two major poems: Theogony and Works and Days. While Theogony presents the genealogy of the Greek gods and the structure of the cosmos, Works and Days offers moral instruction and reflections on agricultural life. Hesiod's poetry played a central role in shaping the religious and mythological traditions of ancient Greece and remains a cornerstone of early Western literature.
