Knock Knock was founded in 2002 by Jen Bilik, and in 2018 joined forces with Em & Friends, the fellow stationery and gift product company founded by Emily McDowell. In 2022, the small-but-mighty Knock Knock and Em & Friends team became part of the family at Union Square & Co. , contemporary book publisher and product company.
