M. K. Spryte is an author, survivor-scholar, emcee, and founder of Matriarch Emerges Publishing. Her work blends memoir, cultural criticism, trauma study, spirituality, anthropology, psychology, and lived testimony to examine systems of control, religious harm, recovery culture, patriarchy, and women's lived experience. After surviving addiction, violence, trauma, institutional harm, and years inside aa/na recovery culture, Spryte writes plain-language academic testimony for readers who are ready to question inherited systems and reclaim their own minds.
