Burly the Squirrel(TM) - The Counting Game Classroom Edition - Counting (1 to 50) Professionally evaluated by Dr. Jacqueline Leahy, Ed. D. , as a strong supplemental early learning resource for Pre-K, kindergarten, homeschool, and early childhood education, Burly the Squirrel(TM) - The Counting Game Classroom Edition helps children build confidence with counting, number order, and early math skills through interactive participation and play. This special Classroom Edition combines counting from 1 to 50 into one engaging learning experience designed for classroom instruction, math centers, homeschool learning, and one-on-one support. Children follow a winding number path by counting up one side to reach an acorn, then counting backward down the other side as Burly carries the acorn back to his basket. This forward-and-backward counting routine helps children understand how numbers increase and decrease while building an early foundation for number sequencing and subtraction skills. The interactive format encourages children to follow along with their fingers, participate aloud, take turns, and stay actively engaged through repetition, movement, and story-based learning. Younger learners can begin with forward counting only, then gradually build toward the full up-and-down counting routine as their confidence develops. Perfect for ages 3-7, this Classroom Edition provides a simple, practical, and engaging way for children to strengthen counting skills while helping Burly collect acorns through the changing seasons. Evaluation and comments provided independently by Dr. Jacqueline Leahy, Ed. D. and used with permission.
