This volume examines the Vedic and epic witnesses, the Dharmaśāstras, devotional traditions, and later theological defenses. It distinguishes poetic praise from enforceable social authority and asks whether exceptional heroines can overturn general rules. The reader is not asked to accept slogans from either side. The witnesses are compared, the strongest defenses are heard, and the contradictions are pressed. Against both contempt and romantic mythology, the biblical worldview presents woman as created in the image of God, accountable directly to her Creator, joined to man in shared humanity, and made an heir of grace in Christ. This is a textual, moral, and theological inquiry into womanhood-and into the worldview capable of grounding equal dignity without erasing real difference.
