Dietrich Bonhoeffer was a Christian dissident who took a stand against Nazism in the 1930s. He was executed at the Flossenburg concentration camp just before the end of the war on the charge of treason, but in truth he died for sheer love of his country and for his uncompromising commitment to the gospel.
