Beschreibung
John T. Porter distills life lessons he's learned over seventy-two years into a Monday through Friday daily devotional in Seventy-Two into One. Each day tees up a Bible verse coupled with reflections from the author, demonstrating how God's teachings relate to everyday life. The verses serve as an impetus to look back at life growing up on a Tennessee farm with loving parents, his older sister, Glynda and his twin sister, Jo, who was almost always at his side at the milk barn, sharing friendship, love, and a life filled with wholesome purpose and meaning. He also weaves in life lessons gleaned from almost five decades working in health care, first as a registered nurse providing comfort to patients and families, and later as a health care executive who took on a variety of responsibilities for forty years. Of course, his fondest memories involve his life as the father of four children and being the grandfather of five loving and charming grandchildren. Join the author as he draws on life's joy, humor, and heartbreak to reveal the truth of God's Word.
