No one is out of the reach of God's love and grace. In all other religions, people reach up to God and do not find Him. In the Christian religion, God reaches down to us and delivers us. He takes us through a process of metamorphosis. Metamorphosis is the changes in shape, form, and activities that a butterfly goes through during its lifetime. This complex biological process involved in their transformation from a caterpillar to an adult butterfly is its metamorphosis. Butterflies undergo complete metamorphosis in which the young differs from the adult in terms of their looks and feeding habits. Becoming a Christian is the process of a person being transformed from sin's dark night into God's glorious light through the Lord Jesus Christ. See Romans 12:1, 2. As the caterpillar of a butterfly has a complete transformation, so we, on a spiritual level, can experience the same kind of dramatic change. As a caterpillar is completely decomposed in its cocoon and reformed into a beautiful butterfly, so a person, by the power of God through Jesus Christ, is transformed from a sinner to a saint. We are taken out of the darkness of our "cocoon" into the glorious light of an entirely new life in Christ Jesus though 5 stages of spiritual transformation.
